Why install a Solar Wizard Hot Water System?
Water heating is the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions from the average Australian home, accounting for around 23 per cent of household emissions*. By installing a Solar Wizard Hot Water System, you’ll not only be lessening your environmental impact through reducing carbon emissions, but you will also spend less on heating water
which results in a reduction in your energy bills.^

What size system will you need?
The size of the Solar Wizard Hot Water System required will depend on your location, as well as how many people it is required to service. Please see page 4 of the Solar Wizard Brochure for a helpful guide to selecting the right Bosch Solar System for your needs. This Brochure can be downloaded via the right hand column on this website.
Will my Solar Wizard Hot Water System still function in the cooler weather?
Yes, even if the sunlight is restricted, solar radiation is still effective to heat water but at a lower level. In this case, the
Solar System includes either an electric or gas boosted option to ensure that hot water is at your taps when you need it most.
For the Gas Boosted option, the Bosch High
flow 21e and 26e are used. For more information on these products, please see the
Bosch Highflow page, within 'Domestic Hot Water'.
How much does a Bosch Solar Hot Water System cost?
To answer this question, a few factors need to be considered:
> Size of tank
> If an electric or gas boosted system is required
> Type of booster
> Region of Australia
> Pitch of roof

Where on my roof is the best position for the Bosch Solar Collectors?
For best efficiency the Bosch Solar Collectors need to face as due north as possible and be inclined by between 10-50 degrees from the horizontal. However, if your roof does not face these directions, you are still able to install a Solar Wizard Hot Water System. Please contact Bosch on 1300 30 70 37 to discuss these options.
Is the Bosch Storage Tank installed on the roof with the Solar Collectors?
No. Solar Wizard Hot Water Systems have been designed as a split system which means that the storage tank and solar collectors are separate and located in two different locations, giving you more flexible installation options.
Does a controller come with a Solar Wizard System?
Yes. The Senztek Controller offers a reliable, easy to use, and efficient means to managing your Bosch Solar Hot Water System. The controller will make sure you receive continuous hot water and still provide the benefits of
maximum energy savings. A distinguishing feature of the Bosch Senztek controller is its unique in-built frost protection which initiates the pump at 6°C to circulate water and protect the system from freezing. The Senztek Controller will intelligently operate the solar hot water system year round. You don’t have to give it a second thought, as it manages your system for you.
