Supercheap Auto Racing’s V8 Supercar  team produced its best result for the year with driver Russell Ingall at Hidden Valley Raceway’s Skycity Triple Crown event.

Ingall ran through the pack on Sunday from 10th on the grid to finish up with a 2011

best, fifth overall. The result saw the Gold Coast-based driver finish the round strongly enough to move him up three spots to 23rd in the International V8 Supercar Championship.

Ingall put the impressive race performance down to improved qualifying speed, which saw the #39 entry emerge 10th fastest from the morning’s 20 minute session on Sunday.
