SBR started using Bosch off-the-shelf spark plugs at the beginning of 2003 and the result was instant with Marcos Ambrose winning the first race of the year in his Pirtek Falcon at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

Nine months later Ambrose was collecting the trophy as the champion driver of the series.

Last season SBR not only won the championship again, but went 1-2 when Ambrose and Caltex Ford driver Russell Ingall finished at the top of the points table in what has been described as one of the greatest feats in V8 Supercar history.

While it is Bosch Spark Plugs which have the signage on the cars, SBR also uses Bosch wiper blades and a host of other components throughout their 300kph machines.

Can SBR make it three in a row in 2005? - if Bosch reliability is the determining factor, then the team is already on its way!
