Changes to Leadership in Bosch Oceania

Clayton, Australia – Gavin Smith, president of Bosch Oceania since 2011, and with an accomplished 35 years in total with the Bosch Group, will leave the company to pursue new challenges at the end of 2025. Effective January 1, 2026, David Gibson will be appointed managing director of Robert Bosch Australia, with responsibility for the Bosch Group in Oceania, and will retain his responsibility as general manager for the Power Tools division of Bosch in Oceania.

David Gibson joined Robert Bosch Australia in 2015 as general manager of the Power Tools division, following more than a decade of senior leadership roles in the consumer goods industry. He has led the Bosch Power Tools business in Oceania for over ten years, driving growth, innovation, and strong partnerships in the retail, trade, construction, and industrial sectors.

David Gibson will oversee Bosch’s diverse operations in Oceania including as director of various Bosch companies in the region, continuing the company’s legacy of innovation and leadership in technology and manufacturing.
